Well I took my winter break off and went to good old LA. It was pretty sweet, we went to the beach, though it was cold, it never went above 60 the whole time. Manhattan beach is pwetty. It makes me happy. The pier is nice, though the free aquarium at the end is basically just an excuse for people to make out next to fishtanks. Seriously, everyone there was making out left and right, and basically everyone was horny. It must be the aura of "free love" hippydom from the sixties that hasn't quite dissolved yet. We went to the Getty Musuem, which was absolutely GORGEOUS, and the Natural History Museum, and this really silly nomadic museum made out of crates and stuff that was called Ashes and Snow. But it was stupid and it cost us thirty dollars, so yeah. Not cool. But we did go down to the farmer's market, and I bought an Easy Rider lunchbox, (which the matching thermos inside later caused my bag to be searched by LAX) and then we went down and stood in line for some korean barbeque, and I got checked out by two college guys. *shiver* Or maybe they were wondering if I was hiding beer inside my purse. Who knows? And when we were waiting in line for Gladstone's restaurant, STEVIE WONDER CAME IN. He was blind, and short, and had long braids. He also didn't have to wait an hour in line. DAMN HIM!! Anyways, the whole experience was pretty awesome, and like I said, California is the happiest state of mind on earth. Everyone is so mellow there and only half of them are pot heads...
